와이프가 나몰래 처남에게 100만 원씩 주고 있었네요.

제가 건설회사에서 현장 소장으로 일하면서 월 천만 원 넘게 벌어오는데요,

어제 우연히 아내 핸드폰을 봤습니다. 거기서 처남한테 온 메시지가 떡하니 보이더군요.

"이번 달 용돈 고마워요."

뭐? 용돈이라고? 아니, 이게 무슨 소린가 싶어서 따져 물었죠.

아내는 아주 태연하게 말하더군요.

매달 100만 원씩 처남한테 줬다고요. 무려 7년 동안이나요!

제 돈으로요! 제가 화를 내니까 아내는 오히려 뻔뻔하게,

"그게 그렇게 큰 문제야? 잘못한 거 없어"라고 말하는데, 진짜 기가 막혔습니다.

그러더니 화내는 저한테 욕까지 하면서 친정으로 가버렸어요.

밤새 열 받아서 잠도 못 자고 있는데, 장인어른이 아내를 끌고 왔습니다.

울면서 들어오길래 사과하려나 싶었죠. 그런데 장모님이

"처남한테 용돈 준 게 그렇게 잘못인가?"라고 저를 탓하는데...

진짜 제가 잘못한 겁니까?

약 2년전 비트코인(가상화폐) 라는걸 알았다. 가까운 지인중에 핀테크를 한다고 하면서 얘기를 나눴던 기억이 있다. 그게 뭐지? 하면서 국내 사이트에는 정보가 별로 없어서 해외 사이트에 돌아다니기도 하면서 정보를 검색 했었다. 어떤 커뮤니티에 들어가보니 채굴기(컴퓨터) 라는게 있는데 이 채굴기로 작업을 하여 수학공식을 풀면, 가상화폐가 모이고 그것을 팔면 돈이 된다는 것이다. 해외에는 대규모 공장도 있어서 전기세를 빼고도 수십억 또는 수백억이 넘는 수익을 얻는다는 정보도 있었다. 그때 당시 시세가 1BTC 에 100만원때 였던걸로 기억한다. 그래? 나도 한번 해볼까? 하고 테스트 삼아서 해외 사이트에 있는 비트코인 채굴기를 검색하여 설치하고 비트코인 지갑 주소도 만들고 하여 실행 해봤다. 뻔했다. 잘 안돼고 뭐가 먼지도 몰랐고, 뭐 채굴이 되고 있는지도 잘 모르겠다. 내가 유닉스(리눅스) 관련 엔지니어 일을 조금 했던터라 관련 프로그램이나 소스를 찾아봤는데 있었다. 근데 이것을 돌리기에는 서버도 없어서 그냥 하루만에 해보고 흥미를 잃어 관뒀다. 그 지인은 채굴기를 수십대를 운영하고 있었는데 매일 본인이 채굴한 비트코인을 밴드로 공유하고, 1달인가 1주일에 한번씩 한화로 출금하여 보여줬다. 하루 10만원때 정도로 출금한 것으로 기억한다. 지금 엄청나게 시세가 올랐으니 많은 돈을 모았으리라...생각된다. 근데 그때당시 바로바로 팔아서 남은게 없었을것 같기도 하고, 시세가 올랐으니 지금은 많이 모았을거라 생각한다. 2017년 뉴스에서 떠들썩 하게 비트코인에 대해 얘기하더라. 그래서 윈도우 상에서 채굴 할 수 있는 프로그램 있는지 다시 한번 찾아봤다. 있었다!
